LOST: Jughead, and The Little Prince

I have been a very lazy blogger recently, and for that I'm sorry...But I do actually have a legitimate excuse by being sick for almost a week... Because I'm so far behind, I'll cover two episodes in one post.

Anyway....

So THAT'S why the episode was called Jughead...the army people had enough of a sense of humor to name their hydrogen bomb. Apparently it's still buried somewhere on the island. I wonder if it has to do with the thick concrete under the Swan Station because Sayid mentioned he hadn't seen concrete anywhere that thick since Chernobyl.

Confirmed theory: The compass!!!! Mwah ha ha!!! John told Richard to go see him!!

Supported theory: Mrs. Hawking being Daniel's mum. Widmore told Desmond to go to Los Angelos. Mrs. Hawking is there, assuming Ben didn't go far to see her.

Speaking of Widmore...He was an Other??? Er, Hostile. I did not see that coming at all. And he's also alot older than I would have thought. So somehow he's going to get off the Island and become a multi-billionaire. Perhaps he exploited the Island in some way to get all that money??

Desmond and Penny are happily married now...with a son called Charlie! Damon and Carlton confirmed on the Lost Official Podcast that he was, in fact, named after Charlie Pace, and not Charles Widmore.

Time travel...I guess it's possible to run into yourself on the Island if you travel to the right time. Locke certainly wanted to avoid it though. Sawyer saw Kate helping Claire give birth to Aaron in months past, which, as Dad noted is a pretty far foreshadow: Claire is now gone, and Kate has Aaron off-Island.

Another season shocker: Jin is alive!!!! Yay!!!!! Maybe he'll be an instigation for Sun to quit being so weird and to get off the side of Charles Widmore.

And.....this has been a pretty rambly post, so I'll leave y'all for now. All I can say to close is that things are probably going to get even more dire, because next week's episode is entitled This Place is Death. I guess the zombie season is coming earlier than Damon and Carlton claimed.

LOST: Because You Left, and The Lie

So.... I had planned to write a lengthy, ranty post about politics and the Obama administration the other night, but while I was writing, I got depressed about the whole bloody affair, so I quit. To see what disturbs me, you can visit the links to these two articles.

But....on to happier matters.
It's late, I know, but....
Time to talk about LOST!!!!!! Warning, as usual, I give away LOTS and LOTS of spoilers.


First of all, theories:
*Daniel, when he was working on the Orchid station, wasn't supposed to be there. He was traveling in time.
*Pierre Chang's baby is MILES. (second place for my favorite theory)
*The baby (whoever it may be) may also imply that at that time, children conceived on the Island won't die. Maybe Daniel did something to mess with the potential energy and caused the childbirth problem.
*The compass that Richard gave Locke, is the SAME compass that John is supposed to pick when he was a child being questioned by Richard. Locke's going to give Richard the compass in the past so that Richard can find him as a child.
*The British soldiers may explain Widmore's line about how the Island has always been his. Maybe they have something to do with when Widmore actually controlled the Island.
*Desmond is special because "The rules don't apply to you." The rules mean that you can't change the past or the future. But if the rules don't apply to Desmond, it means he can change things.
*The Island moving around: if those marks on Mrs. Hawking's computer are places the Island has been, than that northern mark was how the polar bears got there originally.
My personal favorite: *Mrs. Hawking is Daniel's mother. (!!!) Like Dad said: "It's not like Daniel told Desmond to go find his mom because his mom makes great apple pie." That would also explain why Daniel would be so involved with Oxford.

I knew that Daniel would be an awesome character. And I think he's now my official favorite of the freighter folk and possibly one of my overall favorites. Though Miles is hilarious...and Charlotte has the awesome name...and Frank has the most fascinating eyes...Ack! They're all so interesting...but Daniel's my favorite of those four.

So...I wanted to leave you with the trailer for the next episode, (Jughead) but my internet was killed last night. It's functioning about as well as someone with pneumonia. That's also why there aren't any cool pictures up either...oh well. When the internet gets better, I'll add some.

I am a Conspiracy Theorist

This came up at the end of watching Raider of the Lost Ark. You probably know the scene-the ark is wheeled into an Area 51 type warehouse with hundreds and hundreds of crates full of supposed secret stuff. So, I looked up Area 51 and it IS an actual place shrouded in secrecy. With clicking around, I got myself to the list of conspiracy theories page on Wikipedia.
There were more than a few that I believed...

First, the electronic banking theory.
This is a theory that's a branch of the New World Order conspiracy theories. This theory states that for centuries, a secret society has been planning domination of the world in six easy steps to be taken. (The first two steps have already come true.)
1. Precious metal currency turned into paper currency (this began with the use of tickets from the Renaissance)
2. Beginning of virtual money. (Credit cards.)
3. Overuse of electronic and Internet economy
4. Worldwide bank in the hands of a few people
5. Worldwide identity card
6. World-wide blackout

Second, the Clinton Body Count.
This is a list of 50-60 Clinton associates who died under mysterious circumstances. Clinton may have been secretly and quietly bumping off anyone who stood in his career's way.

Third, water floridation.
Floride is often added to drinking water supposedly for the benefits for teeth, such as reducing tooth decay. BUT there are studies that suggest it may be harmful, especially for children. This theory states that those responsible know the ill-effects and keep doing it in order to dumb down the generation or to support drug companies who benefit from people being sick.

Fourth, global warming.
This one actually isn't just a theory...this one is a solid fact. Global warming is a scheme used for political sway.

I've tried and tried, but I can't find the source of this classic quote:
"Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me."


I'll leave it at that.

LOST: Theories

I truly believe my dad is a genius. He has figured out partially what happened to the Island. It didn't actually move to a different location, it moved foward in time. In the Orchid orientation video, Halliwax said about the rabbit moving foward in time that it would seem to disappear for a few seconds. The frozen donkey wheel merely does a much bigger version of that and it has moved the Island to October of 2005. (because Ben was moved to that time when we found him in Tunisia, looking like he does now, wound and all)

LOST: Theories

Dad has just brought up a new theory for me to report, and I think it's a good one.

Richard Alpert is an angel of the Island. He can't do a bunch of stuff, but he can influence and choose whoever is the current protector of the Island. He's part of all this behind the scenes work of the Island. Also, that would explain why he is ageless.

Matthew Abaddon is a fallen angel of the Island, possibly. And there is so much mystery surrounding him, I don't really have much else on him.

"Abaddon" is the name of the biblical Angel of the Abyss (Revelation 9:11).
The name is Greek for "destruction" or "the destroyer". As a place, it is likened to Sheol or hell. Abaddon is mentioned again elsewhere in revelations "And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key of the shaft of the bottomless pit; he opened the shaft of the bottomless pit and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft." (Revelation 9:1-2)
Abaddon is pictured as a human sized locust, and is known as the lord of pestilence. "Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth; they were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green growth or any tree, but only those of mankind who have not the seal of God upon their foreheads; they were allowed to torture them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torture was like the torture of a scorpion, when it stings a man. And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death will fly from them." (Revelation
9:3-6)

LOST: Cabin Fever

All hail the return of Richard Alpert!!!! Huzzzah! YES!!! What's funny about this episode is that on my way home with Dad (before seeing the episode), we discussed Claire disappearing, and Dad had a really good theory. His theory was that Claire had died in the explosion, but she was in one of those solid ghost forms, an idea supported by Chistian Shepard, Dave, Charlie, Yemi, Libby, Boone, and Ben's mother. So she seems to be a ghost, and that's why Miles keeps on offering to help with her or Aaron, and why he didn't say anything when she walked off. Seeing her in the cabin with Christian (her dad) seems to have confirmed that idea.

Favorite moments of this week's episode:

*The return of Richard Alpert!!! YES!!!!

*John choosing the knife. (which seems to foreshadow his role of a hunter on the island)

*Seeing the drawing of the Smoke Monster that John made as a kid

*Seeing my prediction be correct (that this week would be a Locke centered episode)

*John's encounter with Christian and Claire in the cabin.

*Hurley splitting his Apollo bar with Ben

*My long-term theory of the island being on a turtle getting somewhat acknowledged with Locke being told that they needed to move the island. (anybody remember that idea in Alladin King of Thieves? ha ha..)

This week's featured character: John Locke

The Island has been calling to John ever since he was born. We saw Richard Alpert looking at him as a baby, he drew a picture of the Smoke Monster, Richard was on the verge of taking him, then Mittelos BioScience reached out to him. And now, John has finally been answered on what to do. Moving the island? How??? What in the world is going on?! And it seems to me that Locke has replaced Ben's position on the Island as Supreme Protector. With Ben's comment of how he used to have dreams, I think that John's dreams indicate that he is now Jacob's top man..besides Richard Alpert. I think Richard is off doing something interesting right now. Which brings me to...

Other featured character: Richard Alpert

Richard Alpert is still ageless man. And he looks cool in all the different ageless times we see him. Richard is the only known member of the Others that was also a member of the Hostiles. (according to the mythology, the Hostiles were the ones that wiped out the Dharma Initiative, and after that, they were known as the Others.) The big question is, why did Ben become the leader even when Richard had been around for much longer? And why is it exactly that he is ageless? Was he born on the island? If so, is that why he is ageless? If that is so, will Aaron grow up to be ageless?

So many questions........and speaking of that, it's obvious now that Keamy is a complete and total villain. Gault seemed to be bad at first, but now I think he was one of the better people.

About the Ray dying after they found his body: this supports Dad's theory that the island has something to do with a disruption in time. His theory was that the Swan station was doing something to make the island time catch up with real time, and now that it's gone, all these weird things to do with time are going on. I'm starting to agree with Dad on alot of his theories...

LOST: Something Nice Back Home

Wow..Three words...What an episode. As always, if you haven't seen the episode yet and want to keep yourself spoiler free, skip this entry.

What a cliff hanger at the end! Is this how Kate gets the baby? Claire just abandons him? Or is there something else going on? I'm definitely sure now that Christian Shepard isn't dead after that encounter with Claire. And how are Claire and Jack going to figure out they're half siblings? I'm sure they do becaue Jack used it as a jab at Kate in the flashfoward.

And now, back by popular demand, (not really) Favorite moments of this week's episode:

*Juliet being cool for once and saying to shoot Daniel or Charlotte if either one of them tries to escape

*Daniel going before Charlotte at the Staff station to "make sure it's safe."

*Sawyer putting a restraining order on Miles.

*Jack tripping over a Millenium Falcon toy in the flashfoward. (We have the exact same toy!)

And what exactly is Kate doing for Sawyer in the flashfoward? I think it has something to do with Clementine. (Sawyer and Cassidy's daugher, remember?)

As Dad observed, this episode was all about relasionships in a way. Jack and Kate (that age old pairing), Jack and Juliet (the doctors), Jin and Sun, Charlotte and Faraday, and Sawyer and Claire (Clawyer anyone?).

This week's featured character: Jack

Jack has started on the slippery slope heading towards the beard, drinking, and self-perscribed drugs. I think that part of it will be the reappearances of his dad continually. Hurley went insane because he keeps on seeing Charlie, so maybe it's the same with Jack.

Well, I don't have another featured character for y'all this week, so I'll leave y'all with a couple links to two different promos for next week's episode.
